Alternately, if you just want to try the application without having to install anything, you can extract the following files. Obviously, there is no check for prerequisites:

System Requirements/Prerequisites
SOSOS will run on all modern Windows platforms, and requires at least the following:
- Workstations - Windows 98, Me, 2000 SP4, XP SP2, Vista, Win7
- Servers - Windows 2000 SP4, 2003, 2008, 2008 R2
- 32 bit or 64 bit Operating Systems
- 4.1 Mb of free disk space
- Windows Management Instrumentation (for Win98/Me only)
- Microsoft Data Access Components 2.8 (for Win98/Me/2000 only)
- At least version 2.0 of the
.Net Framework
- Internet Explorer 5.01 (or higher)
- Windows Installer 2.0 (for 98/Me) or 3.1 (for Win2000/2003/XP)
SOSOS can use any database that is supported by the .Net Framework 2.0. The choice of database "providers" and "drivers" (particularly with the OLEDB and ODBC driver) allows support for practically every database. The more common databases used are:
- Microsoft Access Database File
- Microsoft ODBC Data Source
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Microsoft SQL Server Database File
- Oracle Database
Microsoft SQL Server Express Edition is an excellent choice and is available as a free download at: http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/sql/download/
Setup Instructions
To install SOSOS, just download and click the SetupSOSOS.exe file. The install wizard will launch and allow you to select the location to install the application, database, and help files.
The default settings will install a Microsoft Access database (SOSOS.mdb) into the location where the application is installed. See the Setup and Configuration Guide for instructions on how to change the database type or location.
Source code
SOSOS is also available as Visual Basic “source code”. That means that can use Microsoft Visual Studio 2005/2008 to alter the program and recompile it to suit your needs. Microsoft provides the Visual Basic Express Edition as a free download at http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/vb
